COVID-19 Update

As we slowly emerge from Lockdown, 2021 will be such a different year for Stratford-in-Bloom. In addition the changes in our Stratford-in-Bloom organisation have led us to revamp our competitions.

Firstly the good news in 2021 is that everyone in Stratford upon Avon is included in our competitions, with Prizes going to the overall winner in three categories, Schools, Front Gardens and Businesses. In addition there will be an award for the best "Wildlife Friendly” garden.

To bring the whole town together we hope everyone will be able to join us in using PINK in any or all its hues, in front gardens, pots, troughs or hanging baskets.

Stratford in Bloom is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of Stratford-upon-Avon through the floral features and gardens, both public and private.

In 2021 residents and businesses will automatically entered into our annual Front garden, Businesses and Nursery and Primary schools competition. Prizes will be awarded for the overall winner in each category, plus an additional prize for the best "wildlife friendly" school and front garden.

Steeped in history and tradition, Stratford-upon-Avon is known world-wide, not just for William Shakespeare, but also for its International Festivals, its charm, history, its welcome and hospitality.

Set in beautiful countryside in the heart of England, Stratford-upon-Avon is known for is its magnificent gardens, beautiful flower beds and colourful hanging baskets.

"When daffodils begin to peer, -- With heigh! The doxy over the dale, Why, then comes in the sweet o' the year; For the red blood reigns in the winter's pale"

Memorial Plaques

Many of us have lost dear family members and friends over the last difficult twelve months, and this has been made all the harder because we have often been unable to say goodbye in the way we would have wished.

This year Stratford in Bloom invites you to consider dedicating a memorial plaque to your loved one, to be displayed on one of our beautiful hanging baskets all around the town. You could also use one of our plaques to commemorate a birthday or an anniversary.

The cost for one year will be £30 for a plaque with the wording of your choice. You can also sponsor your plaque for 2 years at a cost of £50, or for five years at £100.

The money raised will go towards funding this year’s activities by Stratford in Bloom, including our annual competition for Stratford gardens large and small, details of which will be announced in the next few weeks.

For details of how to make your hanging basket dedication, please contact Stratford in Bloom Deputy Chair, Dr Rosalind Winter, on
